The press release says: “This universally flattering blush is completely buildable, leaving your cheeks with a soft, flushed radiance or a more dramatic look. Round-shaped pigments give a silky feel and diffuse light for a smooth, natural, luminous finish. Paraben free.”

– the blush nicely wrapped in this little black velvet sachet.

First Impressions: When I first opened this, I was pleasantly surprised by the packaging and my initial thought about the blush was “Holy Goodness, that is waaaay too dark for me.”, but then I actually used it I was really impressed with how it actually did work with my skin tone.

Packaging: This is a very sleek, luxe looking container. It’s a very heavy plastic-type container. You purchase it in a box, and inside the box is a little velvet package that houses the blush. The container does show fingerprints very easily, and there is a glare when I tried to take pictures.

Scent: This doesn’t have much of a scent.

Color/Pigmentation: This is a very dark plum-y, rose-ish color. It’s actually pretty hard to describe. It’s VERY pigmented, though. You only need a teensy bit to complete your look:)

Staying Power: This does last all day, or at least about 8-10 hours (which is how long I typically wear blush for).

Details on Mine: My Sunday Riley Blush is a PR sample (though that in no alters my opinion or this review). I do have the full-size, 0.1 OZ. I probably wouldn’t repurchase this blush, but I would definitely purchase this blush in some of the other 5 colors:)

Directions/How I Use It: (From The Packaging:) “Using the Blush Brush, apply to the apple of the cheek for a natural flushed look or along the cheekbone for a contoured effect.” I simply put this on a blush brush and apply it the apples of my cheeks, and then blend.

Price/Availability: This is available here for $30.00 USD/0.1 OZ and at Barney’s and Bergdorf Goodman.

Other Shades: rush, blushing, honeymoon night, intimate, dimples.

Ingredients:
Key Ingredients (From The Press Release):

-Kaolin: A mineral that diffuses light, reducing the appearance of fine lines.
-Silica: Perfectly spherical silica particles are first coated evenly with pigments to create the silkiest application and feel.
-Nylon 12: A hypoallergenic ingredient that reduces shine and feels silky, creating a smooth appearance. Helps the product to stay fresh, not settling into lines.
-Mica: A translucent, natural mineral that reflects light and creates the illusion of a smoother, softer and more radiant skin tone.

  1. Very pretty packaging but it’s a little pricey for my taste. I tend to stick with NARS and Benefit for blushes…which aren’t too far behind on price. This color reminds me of NARS Dolce Vita.
